First published in 1679, this book is a true masterpiece of traditional astrology practiced in England during the Renaissance. The book contains a clearly formulated list of basic rules of astrology and a clear algorithm for considering horary questions on... the topics of different houses, accompanied by examples. The author also provides an extensive list of rules for elections. The book was written after the publication of "Christian Astrology" by William Lilly, to whom the author occasionally refers, and is notably distinguished from it by the absence of verbosity, confusion, and polemical pathos. In a sense, "Practical Astrology" is Lilly's astrology but "simple and understandable." This is how the book was evaluated by prominent colleagues of the author, who prefaced the text with enthusiastic reviews.
