The Master of Olkhon. Baikal Tales

The book includes tales that tell about the most famous places of Lake Baikal. Readers will learn how the lake itself was formed, the cliffs of Kholbot and Shaman, what the fearsome warrior Temuchin did on Olkhon Island, how the envious Saar was punished, and other stories that the shores of the "sacred sea" hold. These tales were written by the famous Vasily Starodumov based on Buryat folklore. They primarily reflect the famous writer's love for his native Siberia and admiration for the beauty of the Baikal region.
