Nikolai Lobachevsky. The Great Geometer

There are discoveries in science that transform our understanding of how the world is arranged and trigger a multitude of other astonishing discoveries. Such a breakthrough was the geometry of Nikolai Lobachevsky. Before him, scientists knew the geometry described by the ancient mathematician Euclid, which is familiar to us from the school curriculum. But it turned out that space can be arranged differently, meaning that the world is more complex than it seems.
