"Seven Underground Kings" is the third book by A. Volkov in the fairy tale cycle about the Magic Land. This time, young readers join Ellie and her brother as they enter the Land of Underground Miners, where they encounter dragons and terrible six-legged beasts. The underground inhabitants learn that Ellie has been to the Magic Land before and believe she is a powerful fairy who can save their country from disaster. They hold Ellie captive, hoping that she will return their source of Sleepy Water. But Ellie has loyal and resourceful friends: the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Lion, who come to her aid.
