Childhood

The book includes the first story of the famous autobiographical trilogy "Childhood", "In the People", "My Universities", recognized as one of the most significant works of Maxim Gorky. In it, the writer recounts the difficult years of his childhood. 

After the death of his father, the boy ends up in his grandfather's house, filled with "a hot fog of mutual hostility among all".
