The book "Tatiana Mavrina. A Lot of Things Around" is the first artistic biography of the famous illustrator Tatiana Mavrina, written for children. The Nizhny Novgorod Fair of the early 20th century, folk crafts, fairy tales and legends, love, war,... the search for one's voice—the author of the biography tells about nearly a century of the artist's life, not in the dry language of facts, but by directing children's attention to fairy-tale images, memories, and the ancient Russian cities so beloved by Mavrina. Yet, the publication is quite informative and will be useful not only for young lovers of fairy tales but also for students of art schools. Adults will also learn a lot of new things about the fate and creativity of the first Russian illustrator—winner of the H. C.
