The Mitten

The plot of the Ukrainian folk tale "The Mitten" is similar to the plot of the Russian folk tale "The Teremok": an old man went into the forest for firewood; he walked and didn't notice how he lost his mitten.
A... little mouse ran by, saw the mitten, and decided to settle in it. Then a frog jumped in, a bunny came, after it a fox, after the fox a wolf, a boar, a bear... As is often the case in fairy tales, there was enough space for everyone!..
The book is illustrated by the famous artist Yevgeny Rachyov.
It features illustrations from the first and most famous version - the one that is now preserved in art museums around the world. One illustration is published for the first time.
The book is released for the 110th anniversary of the artist's birth.
