The Humpbacked Horse

Peter Yershov's tale "The Humpbacked Horse" has lived for nearly two hundred years. It is difficult to count how many editions this plot-driven and inspired story about Ivan and his faithful friend the humpbacked horse has survived, and how many more editions it will endure! Many masters of book graphics have turned to illustrating Yershov's creation. Among the best are rightly considered the drawings by Nikolai Mikhailovich Kochergin, made in the early 1950s, and they are presented in this edition.
