The Tree of Klipot (Tree of Death or Tree of Night) is the antistructure of the Tree of Sefirot, forming the concept of the Dark Side. 

When energy flows from Keter to form the sefirah Chokmah, its force is not fully stabilized: it lacks form and direction. 

From the excess of energy arise hostile sefirah or klipot. Klipot is a group of 10 unbalanced and chaotic sefirah, opposed to the harmonic forces of the Tree of Life. For each positive sefirah, there is an opposite and hostile klipa. The source of each klipa's emergence is the emanation of unbalanced power during the evolution of the corresponding sefirah. The unbalanced power of each sefirah grows during the accompanying evolutionary disruptions of balance, forming peculiar cores around which all thought forms of Evil are created, rising from the consciousness of thinking beings or appearing during operations with the forces of Nature that have lost balance. Indeed, any disharmony seeks its own place. And what was initially an excess of pure and good power can, without compensation, become a source of evil forces.

The work on publishing this deck began during the lifetime of Vera Anatolyevna; we lacked only a few weeks to finish it.
