Since France was the trendsetter of European fashion at that time, this graphics fits perfectly into a divination system like the Lenormand oracle. For the collages of the "Dubarry" deck, 18th century French engravings were used (especially those related to fashion and high society). 

The fortune-telling cards, thanks to their asymmetric backs, are interpreted in an upright position, and thus each card originally has several meanings. For example, the Child card can be interpreted as something new, such as the birth of a child, the appearance of a young man, a naive outlook on things, immaturity, excessive gullibility, or spontaneity. Depending on the question you want to get an answer to, each card can represent a person, an object, a lifestyle, or some action. You will learn to determine each specific meaning based on the question asked as soon as you memorize the main key words and phrases corresponding to each card.
