The fifth deck in the "Heritage" series, the Swedenborg Oracle, was a true hit in the Russian Empire during the second half of the 19th century due to its unique authorial system for divination. The deck was first published in... 1859 at the Moscow printing house of L. Stepanova, located near the Moscow Imperial Theatres. The cards contain a universal symbolic language of their time, describing significant events in a person's life. The name of Emanuel Swedenborg was likely chosen by the authors of the cards for the credibility of the method: during this period, numerous dream books and divination books were published that referenced the great scientist and mystic. The cards in the deck were illustrated by our artist. We were inspired by the illustrations of the very first edition and managed to create a more detailed and colorful deck. The instructions for this deck were written by Evgenia Ustinova — a researcher and specialist in the history of pre-revolutionary Russian divination and playing cards. The "Swedenborg Oracle" deck includes: - 36 cards in Russian; - instructions (MBC) in Russian; - a hard case with a lid and base for storage with silver stamping.
