We present to your attention one of the classic Tarot systems, developed by Papus and named in his honor. For the ideological basis of his deck, Gérard Anckoss took one of the legends about the origin of Tarot cards -... the Egyptian - and added to it his knowledge of Kabbalah and occultism, of which he had accumulated quite a lot. The Tarot of Papus is drawn in the Egyptian style. Each card from the Major Arcana has symbols and letters added to help better understand its meaning - a letter from the French alphabet, from Hebrew, from Sanskrit, an Egyptian hieroglyph, and a symbol from "Archeometer" of Saint-Yves d’Alveydre. The cards "Judgment" and "Fool" (The Madman) do not have Egyptian hieroglyphs.
In preparing this deck for you, we focused on the original drawings of Gabriel Gulinat, published in the book "Predictive Tarot, or the key to all kinds of card divination". The illustrations closely match the originals. And to make them not seem dull and lifeless, we added a bronze background to the cards.
