Oracle Niva deck with instructions for divination

The divination cards "Niva" are an illustrated traditional oracle. Every Russian person has, at least once in their life, asked for predictions about fate and advice from playing cards. The 36 playing cards are perhaps the most well-known and easily understandable form of divination, practiced for several centuries — from the time of Empress Catherine the Great to the present day. The "Niva" oracle is based on a traditional system of divinatory meanings, which are illustrated with engravings from the eponymous pre-revolutionary magazine of the era of the splendid flourishing and the instantly tragic sunset of the Russian Empire. The language of these cards consists of bright and clear images; they are easy to read, regardless of the question that interests us — whether it concerns personal life, career, or finances. The illustrations for the cards were taken from the "Niva" magazine, which was published in the territory of the Russian Empire from 1870 to 1918 and enjoyed immense popularity. The set includes: 36 cards measuring 88 x 63 mm; a booklet with detailed meanings of the cards and layouts; a small cardboard box for storing the deck.
