Leon Denis (1847-1927), a French philosopher and writer, reverently called the "apostle of Spiritism" by his students and followers, continued the development of philosophy, the foundations of which were laid by Allan Kardec, in the new historical conditions — at the end of the 19th century and in the first quarter of the 20th century.
