In the Land of Eternal Vacations

Anatoly Georgievich Alexin (1924 – 2017) was a writer, playwright, and screenwriter. The main character of his fairy tale novel "In the Land of Eternal Vacations," Petya is very lucky: he received a ticket to a Land where there are only entertainments. There is no need to go to school and do homework, one must definitely visit the cinema and eat sweets instead of breakfast, lunch, and dinner; any wish will be fulfilled. At first, such a life suits Petya perfectly, but little by little he begins to miss school and his friends. He thinks of inviting the kids with him, but it turns out that it's not that simple...
