Twelve Months and Other Tales

The book features tales by the famous poet and classic Samuel Yakovlevich Marshak. But these are not just stories; they are stories "for reading and performance." In other words, the poet wrote plays in verse for children that have since become classics of literature and are also successfully staged in theaters. The collection includes five such tales-plays — "The Cat's House," "The Teremok," "Petrushka the Foreigner," "The Tale of the Goat," and "Twelve Months."
