The Minor

Denis Ivanovich Fonvizin wrote his famous comedy "The Minor" in the 18th century, but it has not lost its relevance even today. In it, the author humorously and ironically depicts the life of the Russian nobility of the 18th century, revealing problems of morality and education. Many phrases from this work have become winged, and we still use them in life: "I don't want to study – I want to get married", "You can't ride to your betrothed on a horse", "In high society, there are very petty souls", "Cash is not the same as cash virtues".
