Childhood of Nikita

Ten-year-old Nikita spends his childhood in a village house, surrounded by the affection and care of his mother. His already small desire to study with a tutor fades away with the onset of the winter holidays — the boy plays with his peers and falls in love with a girl with golden curls. A. N. Tolstoy's autobiographical story recreates the joyful and fun-filled episodes from the writer's childhood.
