Levenhuk Discovery Micro Gravity Microscope with Book
The Levenhuk Discovery Micro Gravity Microscope will be a wonderful guide into the world of microscopy. This easy-to-use optical device allows you to see what cells look like in tissues, what tiny organisms living in water resemble, how the limbs and wings of insects are structured, and much more. Due to its small size and weight, the microscope can be taken outdoors or to a summer house to diversify observations.
Optical capabilities of the microscope
The optical system consists of three objectives with magnifications of 4x, 10x, and 40x, and a two-position eyepiece that provides 10x magnification in one position and 16x in the other, thus functioning as two eyepieces. The total magnification range is from 40 to 640 times, allowing observation of many objects in the micro-world. However, since the microscope belongs to the beginner class, it cannot show bacteria or blood cells. However, in combination with prepared microscope slides from sets, it will yield excellent results. The monocular attachment has a 45° tilt, so prolonged observation of the micro-world does not cause muscle strain. The focus adjustment is done manually using coarse focusing knobs.
Adjustable brightness lower illumination
The working area features a stage with two metal clips, under which is located LED backlighting. It provides even illumination of the sample and allows observations even in complete darkness. The intensity of the light flow can be adjusted using a disc with apertures, and manual brightness adjustment is also available. Since the illumination runs on batteries, it can be used far from a power outlet, even in field conditions.
The knowledge book "The Invisible World" included
The included book "The Invisible World" helps users understand how to operate the microscope and study the micro-world correctly. It is aimed at beginner researchers, telling about the history of microscopy and various microorganisms that are interesting to observe under high magnification. The book is written in accessible language, richly illustrated, and contains a lot of useful information, including descriptions of experiments that can be conducted at home independently.
An important feature of the microscope is that you will find a set of prepared slides Levenhuk Discovery "Flora and Fauna", consisting of 24 ready-made samples.
