The children's wooden domino «Dots» (28 pieces) is a classic domino set, where the pieces are made from environmentally friendly birch plywood and are stored in a wooden box.
Game components: • wooden pieces – 28 pcs. (2.5 x 5 cm)
How to...
play?
Up to five players can play dominoes. For two players, seven pieces are dealt, if there are more players, then five pieces each, and the remaining pieces create a «market». The first move is made by the player who has a piece with two identical pictures - a double. If such pieces are available to several players or if no one has them, it is better for the youngest child to start the game.
It is more convenient to place the first piece in the center of the playing field; if this piece is a double, it is placed across the future path of pieces. Then, all players take turns laying down pieces matching pictures from either end of this path. The player who does not have a piece with the required picture must take additional pieces from the «market» until they find a suitable one.
The winner is the one who first lays down their last piece on the table, in the path. Therefore, the coveted phrase directed at the opponent sounds like this: «Go to the market!»
It may happen that none of the players can lay anything on the table, but everyone has pieces in hand. This situation is called a fish by seasoned players. In this case, the player with the fewest pieces left in hand wins.
