The manual is composed in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard and the mathematics program for the 5th grade of a general education school. It serves as a supplement to the educational and methodological complex by N.Ya. Vilenkin et al. (Moscow: Mnemosyne) and can be used in conjunction with other textbooks. It contains about a thousand practical tasks that reproduce various life situations. These tasks contribute to better understanding of the material, develop logical thinking and ingenuity, form the ability to make calculations related to everyday life, and enhance interest in the subject.
