Will the little owl bring luck to the family cafe? This is just a part of the intriguing questions, the answers to which will be found in this collection of stories. Its heroes find themselves in different situations — absurd, fantastic, or mundane. And in each one, you can hear the voice of a teenager who is searching, doubting, hoping, and rejoicing.
All the stories in the collection remarkably accurately and sincerely convey the intonations of 13–14-year-old young people who care for our lesser brothers, experience conflicts, and seek their place in this world. The author captured the skepticism of teenagers and at the same time — the lyrical state of the soul.
Despite the unusualness of the plots, most of the characters in the collection are found in real life. According to the writer Eva Nemesh, the basis of the stories is local news, accounts of volunteers and animal rights activists, and personal observations.
