This kit will introduce the child to the most unusual substances — polymers. Their unique properties are due to the structure of molecules connected in long chains (macromolecules).

When you mix a polyvinyl alcohol solution with a sodium tetraborate solution, the "long" molecules are additionally bonded together. As a result, the substance becomes thick, yet at the same time plastic and fluid.

Due to their unusual properties, polymers have found applications in many areas of our lives: medicine, construction, automotive engineering, clothing production, and even in the food industry.
