Where the World Ends

18th century, Scotland. Islands cut off from the mainland, where people live their own isolated lives. Every summer, a group of teenagers, led by adult men, is sent to a lonely rock in the open sea to hunt seabirds, to later bring the bird catchers home with a rich haul. But this time, no one has come back for them. Abandoned, frozen, and hungry, the boys survive in the cold caves beneath the cries of the departing birds, telling each other stories to keep hope and sanity alive, and searching for an answer to one question - why has no one come for them?
