The Little Princess

Frances Hodgson Burnett (1849-1924) – an English writer and playwright, whose works for children have entered the Golden Fund of world children's literature. Among her most famous works are “The Secret Garden,” “The Little Princess,” and “Little Lord Fauntleroy.” These have been adapted into films multiple times. “The Little Princess” is a story about a seven-year-old girl named Sara Crewe. Born in India to an English father and a French mother, she early on loses her mother. Her father, who dotes on his daughter, does everything to ensure that the girl is happy and does not feel like an orphan. However, soon Sara turns seven, and whether he likes it or not, her father takes his beloved daughter to London. There, Sara is set to attend school. The girl cannot even imagine the difficult trials that fate has in store for her. For the middle school age group.
