Mr. Popper's Penguins

This incredible and funny story was created in the late 1930s by Richard Atwater, a journalist and teacher of Ancient Greek from Chicago, and his wife Florence. The book became a classic, and the authors received the John Newbery Medal for their outstanding contribution to American children's literature. A film based on this story was made with Jim Carrey in the lead role.
