In a village by the shore of the harsh northern sea, there is nothing and no one interesting. One street, abandoned fishing boats on the shore, and among the people — only hard-working men. No friends, no children at all,... no wi-fi, not even asphalt — it's no wonder Dad told Ivan not to bring his skateboard. And such a melancholy for the whole summer?! This is how Dmitry Ishchenko's story "In Search of the Boy God" begins. But 13-year-old Ivan is bored only until he hears about the boy god. And the guy sets off in search of him. It turns out that in this cold tundra, one can find adventures, test their character’s strength, make discoveries, act foolishly, and perform real masculine deeds.
And 14-year-old Dima from Evgeny Rudashevsky's story "The Crow" is also searching for his god. He seeks one thing but finds something entirely different. This happens so often. All autumn he dreamed of going with his uncle, a professional hunter, on a sable hunt. He wanted to feel like the master of the taiga, just like his uncle. But is that the most important thing? What will the main character learn about himself? And what choice will he have to make to truly grow up?
When a young man finds himself alone with nature and himself, he realizes that everything is built on love — for people and for the world, for the taiga and tundra, for their inhabitants and, finally, for himself.
