The illustrations in this book were created by the talented artist and innovator of domestic animation E. T. Migunov.
The third book in the BML series about the adventures of «the guest from the future» Alice Selezneva and her old good friends includes five novellas and three stories. Readers will find out how the young, yet experienced traveler gets into the world of insects. Alice will encounter the harsh desert of the Ice Asteroid and a secret pirate planet. Science fiction writer Igor Vsevolodovich Mozheiko, known in the literary world by his pen name Kir Bulychev, sends his heroine to the Middle Ages, where she finds herself at the center of historical events. In the novella «The Emitter of Kindness», Alice becomes a participant in a detective story and begins to investigate the only kidnapping of a scientist who disappeared the day before his anniversary. In another novella from the collection, Alice must save the dinosaurs living on a distant planet. The plots of the other novellas are no less intriguing. It is no coincidence that by the end of the 20th century, Mozheiko became one of the most popular science fiction writers in our country. The secret of his success lies in his insatiable imagination and incredible work ethic. Hundreds of stories, novellas, and novels have been produced by Mozheiko. And there were also translations of foreign science fiction - from more than twenty authors. The collection of Kir Bulychev's works released in the early 21st century consisted of 18 volumes. A significant place among them was occupied by «Alisciana» - a cycle dedicated to the adventures of Alice Selezneva, with whom readers meet again on the pages of this book.
The illustrations in this book were created by Evgeny Tikhonovich Migunov. He almost always depicts his heroes in motion, and this is not accidental, as the artist worked for many years in animation cinema. In 1939, Evgeny Tikhonovich entered the art faculty of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography, where he began studying in the workshop of the famous Ivanov-Vano. After graduating from VGIK, Migunov became not just an ordinary animator, but a true innovator of drawn and puppet cinema. His creative contributions played an important role in the establishment of the modern school of Russian animation. Migunov invented new techniques, patented inventions that helped to «animate» puppets, and proposed new directing methods. Since 1961, Evgeny Tikhonovich began collaborating with the magazines «Murzik», «Fun Pictures», «Pioneer», «Crocodile», creating numerous illustrations for them. The master’s touch is recognizable at first glance. In 1965, a novella by the Strugatsky brothers, «Monday Begins on Saturday», was published with his illustrations. By style and technique, they are very similar to Evgeny Tikhonovich's drawings for Bulychev's novellas. The main distinguishing feature of them is dynamism.
