About the Big and Small Homeland. Poems

Aleksandr Trifonovich Tvardovsky 1910–1971 – a Russian writer, poet and prose writer, laureate of state awards, holder of many orders and medals. The poet faced many trials in life: periods of revolutions, the Great Patriotic War, changes of political regimes,... the flourishing of censorship and repression. Aleksandr Tvardovsky voluntarily went to the front and actively participated in the reconstruction of the country in the post-war years. Despite the changes happening around him, his civic stance remained unshakable. The poet always loved his homeland and dreamed of its prosperity, which was reflected in his work. The book includes poems from different years, post-war stories and essays, as well as an autobiography and excerpts from the collection of memoirs "Homeland and Alien Land."
