About the Big and Small Motherland. Poems

Alexander Trifonovich Tvardovsky 1910–1971 – Russian writer, poet, and prose writer, laureate of state awards, holder of many orders and decorations. The poet faced many challenges in his life: periods of revolutions, the Great Patriotic War, changes in political regimes,... the rise of censorship and repression. Alexander Tvardovsky voluntarily went to the front and actively participated in the restoration of the country in the post-war years. Despite the changes occurring around him, his civic position remained steadfast. The poet always loved his Motherland and dreamed of its prosperity, which is reflected in his work. The book includes poems from various years, post-war stories and sketches, as well as an autobiography and excerpts from the collection of memories "Motherland and Abroad."
