Discovery Micro Terra Microscope, 40x-640x, with Book

Discovery Micro is a beginner-level biological microscope that allows for the observation of transparent samples. These can be prepared slides, the micro-world in a drop of water, or homemade slides. The microscope is small and lightweight, making it portable. Therefore, you can use it not only at home but also take it with you on trips or to the countryside.

Optical system:

The magnification range is from 40x to 640x, so bacteria or blood cells are not visible. However, this microscope allows you to see some animal and plant tissues, observe cells, and study parts of insects and tiny organisms that live in water. The microscope is equipped with three objective lenses (4x, 10x, and 40x) and a sliding dual-position eyepiece of 10x – 16x. The 45° angled head makes prolonged observations comfortable, while sharpness is adjusted manually using coarse focusing knobs. The microscope is easy to use even for an inexperienced user.

Adjustment of the LED lighting system:

Samples are placed on a platform where they can be secured with two clips. There is LED backlighting under the stage. It is recommended for use in low external lighting. Since the backlighting is battery-powered (batteries not included), the lighting can be used even away from an outlet. The brightness of the backlighting is adjustable. The light stream can also be adjusted using diaphragm discs.

Knowledge book of the micro-world:

The microscope comes with a knowledge book "Invisible World." This colorful book will tell young scientists about the micro-world. You can read about the history of microscopy, microorganisms, and various structures that can be seen under a microscope. The book describes not only interesting facts but also experiments that can be conducted at home.

Features:

• Biological microscope with magnification of 40–640x.

• Lower lighting with adjustable brightness.

• Can observe transparent tissue slices and tiny organisms in water.

• Use outdoors thanks to battery-powered lighting.

• Knowledge book "Invisible World" included.

• Great gift for a budding biologist.
