Save the Drowning Man

Andrei Vasilkov cannot seem to perform a heroic act, although he dreams of becoming a hero! Then his friend nicknamed Gulia comes to the rescue. Their plan is simple and clear – Gulia will "sink," Andrei will heroically save him, and earn fame and honor. But will the imaginary feat bring joy?

The tale "Save the Drowning Man" served as the basis for the eponymous feature film.
