Jonathan Swift 1667—1745 — Anglo-Irish writer and satirist, public figure, held a degree of Doctor of Divinity and was a dean at St. Patrick's Cathedral. "Gulliver's Travels" was published when the author was 60 years old. The novel immediately gained wild popularity among young and adult readers. Our book includes three parts of the fantasy novel: "A Voyage to Lilliput", "A Voyage to Brobdingnag" and "A Voyage to Houyhnhnms". Today, just as in the 17th century, "Gulliver's Travels" remains highly relevant. Children love this work for its fantastic, exciting, and dangerous adventures of the desperate mariner, while adults see how subtly Swift satirizes the problems of human society. "Gulliver's Travels" is one of the great works of world literature that everyone should read. For middle school age.
