Every winter, the residents of a small village by the lake hear a loud crunching sound at night. They know - it's the monster coming to the shore to feast on the ice floes. Everyone is already used to it... and is almost not afraid. But one day, a girl named Rosna saw through the window how the monster grabbed a star from the sky and gobbled it up! And then a second one... Rosna realized: in order for the monster not to drag stars from the sky, she needed to offer it something tastier. For example, fruit ice! Soon all the villagers, having learned about the unusual event, took turns preparing a treat for the monster. And one evening, after the New Year, Rosna did not hear the usual crunching...
