The Mystery of Monsieur Carotta

This is the story of Mark's second investigation, familiar to readers from the book «Let's Go to Unalashka». This time Mark helps his pen pal Jean-Pierre Garcia, a photographer from France, to find traces of his ancestors. One of them, Antoine-Louis Carotte, arrived in Russia in 1812 with Napoleon's army and decided not to return to France. During the investigation, Mark discovers that here intertwine betrayal, a sad love story, and the tragedy of a man's life, broken by war.
