Mishlei: Proverbs of King Solomon

The Book of Proverbs (Hebrew: Mishlei, literally — "Proverbs") is part of the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) and the Old Testament. According to the Bible, King Solomon (Shlomo) asked God for wisdom and knowledge, which were granted to him. The Book of Proverbs is infused with the light of this gift. The author presents truths about God and life in the form of poetic speech.
