This is a new book by the acclaimed German writer Ulrich Hub, who wrote the bestsellers "The Ark Leaves Exactly at Eight" and "The Last Sheep". This time, Hub delights readers with a funny and touching story of friendship between a lame duck and a blind chicken.
A lonely lame duck lives in a backyard that is untouched even by the rays of the sun. She has no one to share her peanuts with, she doesn’t go beyond the yard because she has no crutch, and she is simply afraid to leave her familiar place and change her life.
Everything changes when a blind chicken accidentally runs into the yard and tells the duck that more than anything in the world, she wants to find a place where dreams come true, but she is blind and really needs a companion. Unexpectedly, the lame duck agrees to embark on a search with the chicken!
This story shows how opposites attract and provides an opportunity to ponder what happiness is, what it can be like, and whether it needs to be sought.
