The Merry Tram

In this book, two very naughty girls, Squirrel and Tamara, swim in the sea without permission, deliberately get lost in the woods, and cause a real flood at home. And another, very unusual girl, Fenka, goes even further - she eats nails and washes them down with kerosene. But that's not all - it turns out that when you are just a little bit older, it’s easier to teach a piglet to speak than to learn the letter "я" yourself.

"All children should frolic, have fun, never hang their heads, and never cry" - we read from Leonid Panteleev. Because of this, his stories for children turned out to be so cheerful, funny, and kind - filled with sincere love for little readers. The stories, poems, and fairy tales included in this collection are accompanied by illustrations from acclaimed masters of children's book illustration: Mikhail Belomlinsky, Olga Bogaevskaya, Yuri Danilov, and Ivan Kharkevich.
