Writers of Russia. The new book "Adventures of New Year's Toys" includes two fairy tales: "Adventures of New Year's Toys" and "Koschei the Deathless and the Angel with Sticking Ears". The toys were hanging on the Christmas tree, dreaming of showing off to the children, demonstrating how new and shiny they were. Unexpectedly, strange creatures appeared on the tree. They seemed to be toys too, but they were too ancient — cotton, glass, and somewhat frightening. The modern toys do not like their new neighbors and try to get rid of them. But not always new and shiny is better than old and reliable. Dasha Svinkina, the heroine of the second story, is a true angel. All the caregivers dreamed of having the sweet girl in their group until her first day at kindergarten. The angel turned out to be a capricious girl with a very loud voice. The kindergarten staff is waiting for the end of the year to say goodbye to the girl, while Koschei the Deathless longs to get that child for himself. After all, not only caregivers fear children's screams, but also ghosts. Illustrations by Maria Ryazantseva. For younger school age.
