Ashen House

Life in the Ashen House follows a special routine: each boy and girl has their own household duties, everyone attends lessons during the day, and during the break between lunch and the general assembly, the phone invariably rings. There are... only three main rules: one must remember the Goods and not succumb to the Dread, one must never go outside the fence, and if one falls ill, something bad is bound to happen.
But then a newcomer arrives at the house - and the phone, for the first time ever, does not ring. Moreover, the newcomer is tormented by attacks of an unknown illness and keeps talking about how to escape. What can the inhabitants of the house expect from him? And when will the Director, whom no one has seen for three years, return?
