A boy named Fityl always lived in an orphanage by a dark and dreadful match factory, tirelessly working for the greedy Old Hag Boggi. He only dreamed of escape, until one day a magpie dropped something impossible and magical at... his feet — a tiny baby in an acorn-shaped cradle, skillfully carved from wood.

When the clock strikes midnight, elves, the tiny guardians of the forest, will visit Fityl. Grateful for the kindness shown to their stolen child, they offer him the chance of a lifetime — to escape and start a new life with them in the wild…
