The Talisman of the Empire

The intrigue of the story "The Talisman of the Empire" revolves around a significant event in Russian history, known as the "Stand on the Ugra River." The main character, a fourteen-year-old schoolboy Alyosha Tsarev, finds himself an involuntary participant in... these historical events. By chance, only he can prevent the implementation of the insidious plans of the anti-Russian group "Numbers," which sends a Polish witch Jadwiga back to the past, to the year 1480, to assist King Casimir and Khan Akhmat in their schemes to dismember and seize Rus.
To save the world from the looming threat, Alyosha must make a leap back in time five hundred years to the era of Grand Duke Ivan III Vasilievich, where he must find the talisman of the Empire, possessing mysterious power. In this dangerous venture, loyal friends come to his aid.
