Matchstick and Counting Stick Tasks for Children Aged 6-8

Matches are not a toy for children. Moreover, there used to be matchboxes in every home, but now that is not the case. However, many first graders have a set of counting sticks, which are usually not used much at... school. Therefore, you can confidently take the counting sticks and come up with various tasks using them. Counting sticks can be used not only in first grade: we have compiled a collection of games for children aged 6 to 8 years.
Counting sticks are great for geometric games – you can create different story pictures from them. For some story pictures, you may need circles (for example, coins or hair ties) and arcs (for example, half of a ring) or pieces of string. Using such a set, you can create a picture of a house or cherries, a person, and a cat.
