The final novel of American filmmaker and writer Soman Chainani's fantasy trilogy “The School for Good and Evil,” titled “The Last Happy Ending,” continues to explore the complex relationships of three teenagers – the main characters.
Sofia and Agatha were once... best friends until they encountered Prince Tedros from the legendary Camelot. Now the girls are enemies. Both hoped to experience their fairy tale happy endings when their paths diverged: Agatha returned to her hometown with Tedros, while Sofia remained at the School for Good and Evil with the frighteningly attractive School Director, who has regained his youth.
However, it turns out that this is not the end of the fairy tale, and certainly not a happy one. Agatha and the prince must hide, as death threatens them both. Meanwhile, Sofia, unable to forgive her friend's apparent betrayal, plans to devote herself entirely to Evil, becoming its queen. At the school, all power has fallen into Evil's hands, and now both the good hearted and the wicked must learn the ways of evil. Legendary past monsters and murderers have risen from their graves, and the School Director wishes to transform the old fairy tale world into a new realm of darkness. To prevent the worst from happening, Agatha and Tedros must return to the Endless Woods once more. Meanwhile, the sun of the fantasy lands grows increasingly smaller and dimmer with each passing day...
