Bonnie and Charles have run away from home and are hiding in Ēnulīcis. There, high on a cliff next to an old lighthouse, lives Bonnie's grandmother.
Soon the children realize that Ēnulīcis holds dark secrets. A boy has gone missing. The... whole village whispers about a terrifying legend – about the headless Avenger, who haunts, unable to find peace in the world of the dead. And one night, Bonnie sees that the lighthouse, which hasn't been used for more than a hundred years, flickers its lights.

Swedish writer Kristina Olsson is a graduate political scientist, but is currently fully devoted to writing. She creates books for both adults and children, and several of them have received literary awards. Literary critics have dubbed the writer one of the most outstanding masters of suspense in Swedish literature.
