The Empire, led by the Regent, needs strong, energetic, intelligent citizens who contribute to its development and prosperity. And what kind of citizen is a person if they are sick, have lost their parents, or have grown old? They are... simply a burden, an obstacle, a brake, hindering the Empire from moving forward. The Regent and his team are not willing to recognize the value of each person's life, regardless of their social significance, and therefore an organization called Yellow Hair is created in the Empire. This movement, unburdened by the prejudices of love, pity, and compassion, promotes the sterilization of the population and the creation of a full-fledged healthy society, free from human ballast and trash. But not everyone in the country reconciles with this policy. The heroes of the novel are ready to oppose it… For middle and high school age.
