Dima is a student at an art school. He adores his drawing teacher Andrei Vladimirovich, is very knowledgeable about painting, and gets along great with everyone around him. Together with his teacher and his art class, the boy goes on... summer sketching trips, where he meets an exact copy, the object of his secret dreams – a real girl, resembling the image in Venezianova's painting "The Girl in the Checkered Scarf." Of course, he falls in love, but he doesn't yet understand that the painting, his dream, is not a living person and it shouldn't be as perfect as it is on the canvas!
