The Little Boat Sails
Our book «The Little Boat Sails...» – a small masterpiece, the fruit of the creativity of two great masters of children's literature – the poet S.Ya. Marshak (1887-1964) and the illustrator V.M. Konashevich (1888-1963). The poet and the artist were... friends and became partners and co-authors of children's books. In the 1920s, their fruitful collaboration began. The first edition of the book was published during S. Marshak's lifetime in 1963 by Detgiz. Our book is a reprint of that edition. It contains English folk children's songs such as «The Little Boat», «Little Fairies», «Robin-Bobin», «Gloves», «Visiting the Queen», «The House That Jack Built» and others.
