S. Marshak was fascinated by song folklore and translated English folk songs for children. The most famous of them are included in the book Robin-Bobin. English Folk Songs. It cannot be! — one wants to say about each. After all, brave men cannot be afraid of a snail, and little pigs cannot wear hats and shoes. The songs are absurd, incredible, and therefore very important for readers. Such poetry develops imagination and a sense of humor.
