Thomas. Drawings by S. Alimov

The book "Thomas" includes the famous poem of the same name by Sergey Mikhalkov with magnificent illustrations by the classical artist Sergey Alimov. Sergey Mikhalkov is a poet, playwright, journalist, screenwriter, fable writer, author of three anthems of our country,... an honored artist of the RSFSR, and a laureate of numerous awards, the most famous poet and writer in Russia. Sergey Alimov is the People's Artist of the Russian Federation, a member of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Russian Academy of Cinematographic Arts, and a laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation. Sergey Alimov worked at the "Soyuzmultfilm" studio, was the production designer for the famous cartoons "Toptizhka" and "Boniface's Holidays". He served as the chief artist of the State Academic Central Puppet Theater named after Obraztsov. Sergey Alimov's illustrations adorn the pages of more than a hundred books, and this picture book is one of them!
